With over 25 years of experience and 8000 successful spine surgeries, he specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery, degenerative spine conditions, fractures, tumors, and deformity corrections, including scoliosis and kyphosis. He has received several prestigious awards, including the Karmarkar Gold Medal in Surgery (1994), the Pandurangi Award for Best Resident in Orthopedics (1996), and the Global Outreach Fellowship from the esteemed Scoliosis Research Society (1996). Dr. Bapat serves as a post-graduate teacher at Mumbai University, is a Diplomate of the National Board, and holds affiliations with Asia Pacific AO Spine.
